Cecil Hills Public School

The Cecil Hills Public School redevelopment comprises two brand-new buildings: a multi-purpose sports hall with a stage, change rooms and amenities, and a four-storey classroom complex with multiple wings and staff areas. A complete zencontrol DALI-2 lighting control system was installed across both buildings by our partners at DALI Solutions. The project is fully compliant with NSW Education’s DALI-2 standards and designed for long-term maintainability.

More than 2,000 DALI devices are deployed campus-wide, managed by 44 zencontrol application controllers. Every classroom is fitted with motion sensors and switches, providing automated energy-efficient control alongside simple teacher-friendly operation. The stage features DTI colour-changing DALI lighting, controlled via the colour wheel on a zencontrol smart switch display, giving the school a performance-grade lighting experience within its new facilities. An integrated Ektor DALI emergency system provides automated testing and monitoring across both buildings, meeting safety compliance requirements with minimal ongoing effort.

DALI-2 was specified to meet NSW Education Facility Standards and Guidelines, with zencontrol selected for its full DALI-2 compliance, strong feature set and proven performance in education environments. A unified, single-platform system across both buildings ensures consistent operation, simplified maintenance and a future-ready infrastructure as the school continues to grow.
